ABOUT ME

I'm James Ferguson, a music photographer based in Lancashire with a passion for capturing live music as it really happens

For me, a gig photography isn't about getting the perfect shot. It's about capturing the atmosphere, the movement, the sweat, the lights and those split-second moments on stage that you'll never see in exactly the same way again.

​

Over the last year i've been lucky enough to photograph artists including Doves, Editors, Tom Meighan, The Ordinary Boys, The Slow Readers Club, Reverend & The Makers, Ist Ist, Puressence  and many more, covering everything from initmate venues to festivals and some of the North's most iconic stages

My style is documentary-led, often dark, gritty and atmospheric. I want my photographs to make you feel like you were standing there in the crowd when they were taken

​

Alongside photographing live shows, I produce a carefully selected collection of physical music prints. Many are released 1 of 1 adiditons - once that photogragh has been sold, it wont be produced as that edition again. Each once is signed and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
